U10 Generation bounce straight back...

After tasting defeat for the first time in 35 games last week the boys wanted to make amends and they did with an absolutely fantastic performance in the cup against Halton Brough Leopards a higher opposition from division 1.

From the first whistle Generation started on the front foot and where not letting there opponents have any time on the ball and this paid off with the midfield making their runs and a good ball through into Patrick the striker who ran through the defence to Cooley slot the ball into the bottom right corner, it was soon added to with a brilliant team goal with a ball into the striker who laid it off to Oliver the winger who took on his player then found a wonderful cross for Luca to run onto and a first time shot scored in the right corner.

Generation didn’t let the opposition have anytime on the ball but when they did finally get some ball our defence stood tall and Theo our goal keeper made some great saves. Generation then added another just before half time with another quick counter attack again finished of by Luca, who had hit the crossbar just a few minutes earlier, the score remained the same till half time. The second half was just the same as the first with generation asking all the questions and again went close with a header from Theo. Halton Brough pulled one back when they made a good run down the left and a good goal however Generation soon got another with a goal from Patrick from another good run from Oliver. Generation began to tire and Halton got another, however Generation had the last goal With a smart turn and quick feet from Jay Jay to finish off a really good team performance and much deserved win.
