LEIGH GENESIS NEWS LETTER 13

END OF SEASON

With the season now finished and Presentations in hand, the Committee are planning for the New Season ahead.
Training will continue through the summer months and County FA sanctioned tournaments are on offer. The grass pitches are now closed for essential maintenance.

ASTRO TURF PITCH

The school and club have selected a preferred contractor to upgrade and extend the pitch to 3g and full size standard and subject to planning permission work will commence during the summer and we aim to have completed in September.
Please note that when the facility becomes operational only players and team officials will be allowed within the fenced area and parents and spectators will have to watch the game from outside the fence as per the MUGA pitch.

GRASS PITCHES

Whilst work is being carried out on the ATP, training for the vast majority of teams will be on grass subject to grass being fit to use. No goal posts are available for training and no friendly games are initially allowed.
We will open the pitches for friendlies on the week end of 24/25 August and 31 August/1 September.
Any midweek games will be scheduled on a Monday or Tuesday evening when we have club officials on site.

MUGA PITCH

We plan to use the MUGA pitch for social activities including soccer schools, Wildcats and disability programmes and where we can for the younger age groups.

SITE RULES

Everyone is reminded of the site rules.
No smoking
No dogs
No brew stations
Bicycles to be left at the entrance gate to the grass pitches and not taken on the pitch
Abuse of Club Officials or Team Officials will not be tolerated
The Club House is open for all. Please use and support the facility.

PITCH SET UPS

During the friendly weekends training will be provided to team officials as to how pitches are to be set up properly.
This must be carried out for teams new to set ups before teams are allowed to play home games.

SEASON START

This depends on the League your team plays in but should be no later than 7/8 September 2019.
