The club are sad to hear of the passing of former First team manager and
Scholarship manager Alan Kershaw.
Alan had a long and successful career in football playing, coaching and
managing and was the last Manager in place at the time of the Leigh
Genesis semi-pro club deciding not to renew their FA membership after
relegation from the Northern Premier League Division One North.
Rob Atherton, Club Secretary who worked closely with Alan said. "Alan
was well known for his wicked sense of humour and telling stories from
his football experiences. In addition he will always be remembered for
his football knowledge, experience and commitment and its a very sad
loss."
The clubs thoughts are with his family in these difficult times
