All made possible thanks to communities support!

Leigh Genesis F.C are delighted to share that after many months of hard work the clubs Disability Dynamite team have joined the Lancashire FA Ability counts league!

This is another milestone for our club and is our first competitive disability team. The group kick off in their first tournament fixtures this weekend 24th February down at the Lancashire FA, with games kicking off at 10:30am. We welcome anyone who wishes to go along and support the team in their first competitive tournament!

This has all been made possible from the support of Just B.U C.I.C, David McClean and the Lancashire FA and many community sponsors such as WJ Structures, Rotary Club of Leigh, Barclays, ASH Integrated, Appy Little Plumbs, MGas Plumbing and Big Balloon Company.

The clubs wishes the team the best of luck in the first tournament.

Rob Atherton, Club Secretary commented

"Since the formation of Leigh Genesis there has been many events and good news factors that have furthered the clubs credibility in Grass Roots Football. Here are my top 3 based on participation and Key
Gender/Age Group factors:

44 boys, girls and adult teams plus 6 social activities and Winner of Greater Manchester Club of the Year in 2014.

Successful partnership with Leigh Athletic to create a potential step 7 team in the football pyramid under the Genesis banner and the affiliation of 5 Open age teams in 2020.

First Women's team in 2022.

The creation of our first ever competitive Disability Team is amazing as this is a very difficult nut to crack. Massive effort from Josh Smith and Justin Fellows from Just B.U and David Meadows and Iain Kay at the Lancashire Football Association to help make this key milestone possible"
