Leigh Genesis FC are launching a brand new sports education programme in partnership with Elysium Training. Utilising the fantastic facilities at Lowton High School, this exciting 2 year course is aimed at talented, hard working and ambitious local footballers who want to study, train and play full time.

You will study the 1st 4 Sport Level 2 or 3 Diploma in sports coaching and coached by UEFA coaches with Premier League Academy experience.

The course will combine studying and playing with real work experience and successful applicants will get a free FA Level 1 coaching badge and weekly work experience coaching in Leigh Genesis’ junior teams and supporting local school sport activity.

The course carries UCAS points and successful candidates will progress onto either:
- University
- Full time work in sport coaching/sport development
- An Apprenticeship

The course is not a traditional 9-5 timetable. The timetable includes later start times and expects learners to actively support the coaching of Leigh Genesis junior teams on one evening a week. You will also have an extensive weekly training and performance pathway, with the club’s long term ambition being focused on producing elite level footballers and coaches to support their ambition to progress back up the football leagues.
